Will Democrats Commit Seppaku?

It is as if Congress has become "Zombieland" said one political observer the other day. He was right. Despite the fact that there is no longer any question what the preponderance of people in our republic actually want,  the health care reform zombies keep on coming with tired ideas that anyone with a brain know's is a joke.

The article, "If Democrats ignore health-care polls, midterms will be costly," explains the likely outcome of this political suicide.

I want healthcare reform, why does that mean I lack a brain? Anybody who bothers to LOOK at medicare knows there needs to be massive reforms. The bills not perfect (especially now that the 'party of no' has raped it with 500 pages of amendments, creating a mess that nobody is even willing to read through) but at least somebody is trying, and that's more than either of us could say. I find it amazing that the people that actually DO want reforms are not counted as 'people in our republic'.

I would also argue against the idea that the dems are commiting political suicide. Even assuming the overwhelming majority is against healthcare reform (which I have doubts about) It's no secret that they care about the American citizens as much as the republican party does (hint:not at all). If anybody really cared that the government was out of touch with the citizens it was there to support both parties would have been done away with a LONG time ago. Like as soon as the cold war ended. (Yes, it's over, stop screaming 'Communism')
