The article, "Obama wants court pick to have 'empathy'," is a reminder of just how far we have yet to go to truly reach a society free of prejudice and discrimination.
The story lays it out clearly. The nominee the President seeks is not going to be the most qualified jurist. Instead, it will be the best female, black or Hispanic he can find. I hear Jesse Jackson is irritated as hell about those prerequisites! He wanted the job so bad!
Nevertheless, the path ahead is clear. We will get a nominee who passes all the "litmus" tests of the liberal left, has no penis, and enough skin coloration to not be considered a white person. (I wonder if that means Perez Hilton has fallen off the list??)
So this is change we can believe in, eh ... a return to the dark days of racial preferences and gender discrimination. How nice.
