Reading the story of Don Ayala in "Human Terrain' Contractor Guilty of Manslaughter (Updated)" you immediately realize what happens when the touchee feelie modern liberals take control of running a war.
This conviction is so wrong. We should be ashamed of ourselves for convicting Ayala. It is a true victory for terrorists.
It is also one more nail in the coffin of failure that we seem to be putting in place in Afghanistan.

ReplyDeleteExactly, and in the world where the best terrorist is one who can't hurt anyone anymore, that makes so much sense. But when the lawyers got so involved, this was bound to happen. Everyone is afraid of the some lefty in the UN filing war crimes charges ...
ReplyDeleteOnce you take someone prisoner and have them restrained and cuffed, it's no longer right to shoot them point blank in the head.
ReplyDeleteI could see doing the same thing as Ayala in the same circumstances, but that doesn't mean it would be right, legally or morally.
