Michelle Malkin reports on another series of attacks by Muslims on behalf of their "Religion of Peace" in "The Islamist's War on the Internet." Many of the big, mega-hit sites that have written about Muslims in less than glowing terms or have published "the cartoons," are experiencing denial of service attacks, hacking and intrusion attempts, as well as a series of virus and malware infection attempts.
The little guys, like ROFASix, who have published the cartoons (link to 12 of them here) or been critical of radical Islam have pretty much remained off the radar scope of hate being directed against web sites. It is always possible, given the power of Technorati, that any of us could come under virtual attack or actual physical attack.
Much of the vitriol being directed against the web sites also contain threats of violence and mayhem against the bloggers themselves. It is but one more reason that it pays to be anonymous, and travel armed. Don't forget the lesson of the murder of Theo van Gogh who was killed for making a movie that was a lot less negative about Islam than are a lot of blogger comments.
For those who think that terrorists will never come to their little wide spot in the road such as Moonshine Hollow, they underestimate the irrational hatred within these homo sapiens.
Yeah I know - I did start to write "people" but somehow it seemed too nice a word to describe animals free of thinking and reason.
